PLAYING GUIDE
A lap is a sequence of checkpoints
Complete three laps within 50 seconds and finish in the top three. All four checkpoints must be crossed in order on each lap. A short cut across the oval cannot replace that sequence. Drive the track once without boost to learn where the kart needs to turn.
Brake before the oval ends
The kart steers freely rather than snapping between lanes. Ease into each end of the oval, brake to tighten the turn, and straighten the kart before accelerating away. Speed gained down a straight can disappear quickly if the next turn takes you off the tarmac.
Boost needs an exit plan
Boost increases speed while reducing steering authority. Save it for a straight where a rival will not block your line. Contact and grass both slow the kart, so a short clear boost is more useful than holding it through traffic. Rivals move at their own pace; passing them is part of the race.
Practise consistency
Keep Auto throttle on while learning the steering, or turn it off for manual acceleration. Try to finish three complete laps before chasing a better position. The timer, lap count and position are more useful feedback than judging speed from the scenery.
